Dr. Christi Alloway completed her PhD in Clinical Psychology at Queen’s University, and is registered with the College of Alberta Psychologists. Originally from Oakville, Ontario, she moved to Calgary in 2000 to complete her residency in clinical psychology. She is currently engaged in obtaining advanced core training in Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy, and serves on the executive board of the Western Canada Institute for ISTDP.
Dr. Alloway has worked for over 15 years in an outpatient mental health clinic with Alberta Health Services, where she provides individual psychodynamic therapy and interpersonal group therapy to adults across the lifespan, including young adults and seniors, is involved in training graduate students in clinical psychology, and serves on the administrative committee overseeing the clinical psychology residency program.
Dr. Alloway opened her private practice in 2014. Initially a one-day-a-week practice, she will be moving to full time private practice in the summer of 2017.
Dr. Alloway is a mother of two awesome kids, and three fur-babies. In her free time, she enjoys horseback riding, photography, hiking and trail running with her golden retriever, talking to her cats, camping, and spending time with her family and friends.
